2. What data we collect and why

We collect the personal data you voluntarily provide through:

• Newsletter subscription: your email address, in order to send you updates about the MARES project.
• Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message, in order to respond to your enquiry.

We also collect technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through cookies and analytics tools for the sole purpose of website operation and statistics.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, which you give when you subscribe to the newsletter or send us a message (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).

4. Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, or until you withdraw your consent or request its deletion.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Your data may be processed by service providers (e.g. email/hosting providers) acting on our behalf under a data processing agreement, and may be shared with MARES consortium partners strictly for project communication purposes. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You may exercise these rights, or withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to mares@wedgeglobal.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es).
